Oneness

I just came back from my front door. What an incredible experience!

As I heard a knock on the door, I saw two young women at my door with books in their hands. Every couple of years, two young adults walk our neighborhood selling books for their church scholarship program. As they began their sales pitch, I began to ask more specific questions about their faith. I must tell you, their knowledge and ease of the word was beautiful. They had passion. They knew what they believed, and they so wanted to share. I was in awe of such dedication and pure faith. As I looked through the books, they explained the history of their belief and what was to come. As they shared and explained what they knew, the Light of the One Presence shown in their eyes as clear as a still mountain lake. The love expressed for the truth as they perceived it was to be honored. I am honored that I was able to witness, to be a Presence, to their faith.

Do I love the experience because they believed as I did? Actually, I love this experience because I do not perceive the world or God exactly as they do. I love the essence which was inside them. From this experience, I was able to see the light that joins all of us, not the perceptions which separate us. For this I am so thankful to these young adults. I purchased a cookbook and for that they gave me three more of their books explaining their truths. What I actually received was even greater…experiencing the true Oneness in all life.
