Oneness an Adaptation of I Dreamed a Dream..

Oneness
©2009 by R. Giurado
(Metaphysical Adaptation of Herbert Kretzmers’:
“I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables)

I dreamed a dream just yesterday
When life was sad and upsetting.
I dreamed of Oneness and God’s Love
I dreamed the world would stop fretting.

For the world is truly peaceful
It all depends on how I see
Time to embrace that we are One
Oneness in life will set us free.

For all the angels come at night
With their voices soft and lovely
As they lift all our dreams up high
As they turn our dreams into truth.

Now I realize God is in me
No more need to hate and to fear
For the power is among us
Time to lift our voices and cheer.

For the dream that I’d been dreaming
Was as true as I had believed
Now my heart it is embracing
Whatever now I can conceive.

I had a dream my life would be
Different from what I was living
I know Oneness is all there is,
I see and live the dream I dreamed.

Unexpected Gifts

Last night my dog woke me up at 2:30am as he needed to "go outside." I pulled myself out of bed and put on my sweats, sweatshirt, gloves and coat. I remembered a time when being woken up in the middle of the night would upset me. Last night, I was not bothered. I know my dog does not mean to wake me; he only needs to "take care of business." I walked outside and although we have been having sub-zero temperatures, I felt warm. As I took him to his corner, I looked up. The stars twinkled and glistened in the early morning hour. Except for his paws upon the snow, no sound was heard. Breathing deeply, I kept my gaze on the sky. I felt and amazing peace as I waited. Life is truly in each moment, here and now. In talking with a friend today, she informed me that last nights' temperature was 14 degrees BELOW zero. How grateful I AM for, in the taking care of another's need, I found a gift in the cold darkness that I did not even know was waiting for me. Today, be on the lookout for unexpected gifts.
